Frontiers in Energy 2018, Volume 12, Issue 4,   Pages 623-629 doi: 10.1007/s11708-018-0575-x

Abstract:

The European Union (EU) has the most advanced, mature, and liberal energy markets that gave rise tothe most dramatic drop in wholesale energy prices, whose fallen, however, has not been translated intoa reduction in retail energy prices.Instead, energy prices in Europe rose above inflation year-in-year-out, and are considerably higher comparedThis paper highlights the key limitations in the EU market designs and network access toward renewable integration

He XIA, Yushu DENG, Yongwei ZOU, Guido DE ROECK, Geert DEGRANDE

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2009, Volume 3, Issue 1,   Pages 2-8 doi: 10.1007/s11709-009-0001-x

Abstract: In this paper, a dynamic analysis model of an elevated bridge with ladder tracks under moving train load is established. The whole process of a train running through an elevated bridge at different speeds is simulated. The dynamic responses of the elevated bridge with ladder track and the running safety and comfort index of train vehicles are evaluated. Compared with the dynamic responses of an elevated bridge with ordinary non-ballasted slab track, the ladder track’s effect on reducing the vibration of an elevated bridge is analyzed. The analysis results show that the ladder track has good vibration reduction characteristics as compared to ordinary non-ballasted track.
